Drawn to what gets overlooked.
I'm a product designer currently pursuing a Master's in Emerging Technologies in UX Design at New York University, with a background in industrial design. My foundation in industrial design taught me to think beyond interfaces and consider the broader experience surrounding a product.
Growing up in Kenya taught me that access isn't something people can take for granted. I saw how technology could make life easier for some people while creating entirely new challenges for others. That perspective continues to shape the way I approach design today.
I'm fascinated by the gap between how products are intended to work and how people actually experience them.
Outside of work, I'm probably looking for my next meal before I've finished the current one, planning a trip I haven't booked yet or designing my dream apartment. And always on the hunt for unique desserts.
